Hi! It's me. I'm not going to lie. I might not be back from being lazy, but at least I'm here. Lazy has been my favorite game lately, I guess:-) I will try to be better and write more from now on.
I'm Back
Well, it's been awhile and I decided not to move my blog for now. I can't quite make up my mind on the whole thing so I'm going to put it off for now and just reopen this blog. I had it set so that only I could log in but I'm going to change that now and start posting at least a few times a week.
Stay Tuned...
I plan to start a new blog ASAP. If you want to read it, email me at sdsinglegirl@gmail.com and I will let you know what my new blog address is by April 1. I just need to start over. I look forward to seeing you guys at my next blog:-)
Trying To Still Be OK
I haven't been blogging lately. I haven't been emailing or talking with friends either:-( I need to get out of this living situation. It's not working at all. I have a friend at my new job that wants to get an apartment with me. We are hoping to find a place to move in on April 1, but I know we are both worried about having the money for the deposit and whatever else, besides the rent. Aside from the rent I have to pay my parents tomorrow, I still owe them some other money. I have all of it but if I give it to them, I'll be broke. It sucks. I just don't know if I will have enough cash by the first of April to make this work. If I get my taxes back, I will, but who knows how long that will take!
I hope I have something better to write soon and I hope everyone is well!
Blogs To Read, Day 3
Okay, I have to give SO a real introduction. SO started his blog when he was 24 (he is 26 now) and he had just broken up with his one and only girlfriend. This blog is his testament to being a single man and learning how to get over his first love. Has he done a good job of that? No. But at least he is trying. I think the blog is sweet. I also think he will look back in 5 years and see the error of his ways, but that's just experience talking. Anyway, I urge you to check out this blog. It is very interesting and cute, and like I said, he is a nice guy. Nice guys always finish first, in my book.
Blogs to Read, Day 2
This is Courtney. She is funny, nice, pretty and she can sing. I can't sing, at all, so I admire her skills. She has a big crush on he who shall not be named. She writes a lot about her music and she posts lots of videos of her singing and stuff. Courtney moved to Nashville a week ago from good old Minnesota, because she is about to realize her life long dream of becoming a famous songwriter.
So go visit her blog http://courtney903.blogspot.com/ and then go see her myspace music page http://www.myspace.com/courtneyolsonmusic.
Blogs To Read, Day 1

I am doing a seven day series of blogs to read. My friend is currently going through a shift in life and needs some new blogs to read. So, in honor of her predicament, I am going to talk about a new blog every day for a week. This friend already reads http://rambleramble.com/ and http://absolutlyfit.blogspot.com/. So, if you don't read Ginger and Laura's blogs, you should. I told my friend about them awhile ago and they are both such sweeties!
My first shout out of the week is to http://tokissthecook.blogspot.com/. It's a food blog, but also a personal blog. TKTC is pretty and funny. She makes me wish I lived in Chicago so I could hang out at her place and eat yummy food. We all need more friends like this, right?
Stay tuned for the rest of the week when I talk about some other blogs I enjoy.
Music...Because What Else Is There?
I am 100% sure that nobody that reads my blog is into heavy metal, and that is the music that is a huge deal for me. I have been to hundreds of concerts, sometimes even 3 in one week. I hate myspace, but for music, it is fabulous. It gives me a great opportunity to check out bands. When I hear about a band, I always listen to all their myspace stuff before deciding whether or not to buy the cd. Since heavy metal isn't exactly mainstream, it can be difficult to hear about new bands. I used to always find out about new groups by going to shows and then I would fall in love with the opening bands. Ozzfest is a perfect example of this. I have found numerous bands that I fell in love with at Ozzfest. It's a showcase for the little guys and then they put the big guns in also so that there is always a sold out show. My first time seeing Mudvayne was at Ozzfest. Mudvayne was my favorite band for a long time. Other bands that I love and discovered at Ozzfest are Ill Nino, Walls of Jericho, Meshuggah, Twisted Method...too many to name. My brain is temporarily broken. The thing about Ozzfest is that you have to love metal if you want to go to it. Otherwise, talk about misery in a bottle. I mean, Marilyn Manson played one year, where I had good seats, but if you just went for that...not worth it. Oh my goodness, Rob Zombie is an Ozzfest God. Seriously. That guy can come terrify my neighborhood anytime. He actually got some people kicked out. He is one scary...well, I don't cuss, but you get my meaning.
My point is...I miss the mainland, I miss CA (everyone plays there), I miss Liz, I miss my ex and most of all I miss that all those four concepts made for the best experiences of my life.
First Day!
My first day at my new old job was great. It was AWESOME! I fit in perfectly there and I love it. I am working tomorrow too. Yay!
Does anyone watch 30 Rock? I have been an infrequent watcher. Last night Jon Hamm, the hot star of Mad Men was on Conan to promote his guest role on 30 Rock. So, I decided to watch some 30 Rock again. That show is hilarious. I seriously cannot drink anything while I watch because I'm afraid I will spit it out if I laugh too hard. Check it out on NBC's site.
I Never Answered My Own Questions
Oops, here it is:
1. Why did you start blogging?
Because everyone else was. No, seriously, I don't even remember why.
2. What was one your favorite movies in the past year and why? You can pick a movie from the theater or DVD.
Iron Man was my favorite movie I saw in the theater, I think.
3. If there was a fire and you could only take five things (not including pets and important papers), what would they be?
Oh, this is a good question for me, since I got rid of almost everything I own to move here. I guess I would say photos, cds, dvds, my laptop (that's #1) and my purse collection (okay maybe that is #1).
4. Name one goal you have set for the next year. You can pick your easiest or lamest one if you want.
Get the hell out of my parent's place.
5. What is your favorite TV show and least favorite?
Favorite is CSI and least favorite is American Idol.
